Twenty-eighteen. You were a solid mix of high highs and low lows, a pattern I think I’ve finally accepted as something to expect with each year that passes. You brought me new creative experiences and took me on adventures in new cities and countries—a true highlight being my first international elopement session for Emily and Aaron in Paris, shot alongside my favorite photography partner, Amelia Moore. And on the flip side, learning that gluten was no longer my friend a month before departing to the land of pastry and baguette. C’est la vie!
I’m not sure what twenty-nineteen has in store, but I do know that I’ll be seeking more of what’s above. And that’s something to look forward to. Cheers, and happy new year!
So excited about a new find in the blog world! I Love Saturdays follows a photographer/illustrator/artist. I love her style, especially in these beautiful Paris photos. I mean come on, pink and Paris and wintertime. So pretty. Her illustrative/color additions to the photographs only accentuate their awesomeness. I’m hooked.
Two years ago today, I spent the loveliest of days in Paris, France–running through the streets, stopping for tea at Laduree, watching the sun set over the city from the Eiffel Tower, dining on fondue and flourless chocolate cake and delicious red wine. I’m sure it will be one of the best Valentine’s Day I ever have because 1. it was in Paris, and 2. it was celebrated with a best friend. Oh, and 3. the night ended with Nutella sandwiches.
And the second best Valentine’s Day? The year I got Free Willy on VHS.
